Get Involved
Your voice can help shape an age-friendly future for Omaha.
Age-Friendly Omaha (AFO) is a community-driven initiative. That means we rely on the lived experience of older adults and the partnership of community leaders and organizations. Whether you are an Omaha resident ready to share your perspective or a community partner prepared to champion this work, there is a place for you in the AFO movement.
Omaha becomes more livable when everyone participates.

For Champions & Community Leaders
Help us build a more livable, connected Omaha.
Champions are individuals and organizations who believe in a more age-friendly city and want to take an active role in making it happen. Champions come from housing, health, planning, transportation, philanthropy, social services, neighborhoods, academia, and more.
Champions can:
Share and promote the survey across their networks
Host listening sessions or community conversations
Participate in domain-specific working committees
Provide subject-matter expertise in areas like housing, mobility, health, or design
Advocate for age-friendly policies and practices
Serve as connectors between AFO and the broader community
If you’re ready to contribute your skills, influence, and passion, we’d love to partner with you.
Why Your Involvement Matters
AFO is built on community partnerships. This work does not belong to a single organization or department—it’s a shared effort across Omaha. When more voices join in, our solutions become more inclusive, more creative, and more effective.
